All The Wisdom You Need In One Poem

Let me share to you my favorite piece of poetry:
Go placidly amidst the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.
Desiderata (Latin: “desired things”, plural of desideratum, the supine of desidero) is a 1927 prose poem by American writer Max Ehrmann
(1872-1945).[1] Largely unknown in the author’s lifetime, the text became widely known after its use in a devotional, after subsequently being found at Adlai Stevenson’s deathbed in 1965, and after spoken-word recordings in 1971 and 1972 ( Wikipedia)
Disederata: This might be the most wisdom-packed literature one may be able to access which will take just a minute to read no wonder it has been my favorite poem even as a child. I always knew that enlightenment is in every lines of this poem. .
Go placidly amidst the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
-All of the world is filed with “white noise” and BS, which thus causes confussion and distraction worse: delusion. this line states the wisdom of awareness of the truth however hurtful it might be. Most people or society in general always feed us delusions that negates hurtfull truths with the goal of serving personal agendas for the sake of power. that is why we are born into a system that has many prorities that doesnt seem to make sense, take Commercialism propaganda for example: it conditions us that certain stuffs are “cool” and “a must have” like fance cars and a manssion or even those useless jewelries and that thousand dollar fur-coat that serves no actual value. We must be aware of the “white noise” that these create but at the same time being absorbent of new knowledge for certainly each person has wisdom hidden within himself. you just need to discover yours and since being close-minded is actually a sign of ignorance, because intelligence is actually the ability to absorb and seek knowledge that is aplicable while discerning its truthfulness and not the actuall number of things that you know.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
-Take this text at face value, it expresses its own meaning in the best way that is possible. But that doesnt mean you don’t analyze the person: who knows he might be an alpha who is just accustomed to talking loudly. I know guys like these, one is my uncle who is very good with women. I learned from him many things that I know now but still that doesnt mean I must place anyone higher that myself that is the point of this line: No one is higher than you and that must be your mindset (but not to the point that you actively hate and hurt others). There are just too many people who are just so full of bullshit but that doesn’t mean that they deliver. Observe if they do deliver and that is the time that this person is actually worth wasting your time into. It is also probable that what the author has in mind here are the pople whose aggressiveness is directed towards you. In that case you must remember that there are just those kinds of people and you must not let them hold the remote control to your emotions. Remember that negative reactions to negative behavior towards yourself is detrimental to the victim as well because you have a choice to be angry back or not. remember that to be angry releases a huge amount of stress hormone and each episode reduces a precious hours to your life expectancy. It may be hard to stay unaffected but the first step is to realize that they have no remote control to your emotions. Everytime you get offended by another person’s opinion or angered by their actions try to visualize that they have a remote control to your feelings and are deliberately trying to make you feel that way. Of course you will defensively remove that remote mentally which will make it easier for you to stay cool. It is indeed difficult but practice makes perfect.
“ If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.” Of course ego downspiral is a result of another person’s attack to your ego. Being unnaffected of this you will not care anymore about your standing in their eyes for you don’t care anymore how they percieve you for in reality it doesn’t matter and you must not give a shit.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

-Status should be the last thing you should worry about. In our modern world you are programmed to give importance to status since they need to market unnecessary stuff to serve as “Social proof”. Times will keep on changing but never be ashamed in what you do for a living (the only thing that you must strive for is more freedom to become happy). I think this is discussed often in the manosphere: If you have game you can pretend to be a garbage guy and still get laid consistently (even if you really are a garbage guy). What you think of yourself is what counts, not what others think of you. Enjoy your life and be thankfull for what you have (or at least: never be sorry for yourself). Remember that there will always be people who are more deprived than you are.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism
-In your affairs (especially in business) be aware that you may be betrayed for it is human nature to take leverage. It is our instinct and even if you don’t believe that exercising evil will do well doesn’t mean that others are the same. That considered there is also a counterpart : Just because other people do evil it doesn’t mean that there is no individual or group of individuals who believe in virtue and work ethic. We must indeed be aware that people may do harm to us when the circumstances are present and therefore do what is necessary to reduce the risk that we take. I see people generalizing others often complaining that men are such filthy creatures that no one can be trusted ; while it is obvious that they are doing something that is causing other people to take advantage of them. Indeed this worldview is so delusional. To confirm I want you to try this: Ask for directions to a place you know already. Try to count how many strangers will try to deceive you by giving you wrong information. Personally I have a hard time eliciting untruthfulness here. The most I get 5% wrong answers which are not significant. The truth is people are wired to cooperate with one another for humans are social individuals that function best at a unit. In the midst of adversity people will always end up helping one another even if we are also programmed to do whatever it takes to achieve our goals if there is no choice left. We generally remember the ones who have tricked us better because our intyeractions with them are ussually the one that has caused us great hurt but exactly how many times did you get decieved out of the millions of people who live in your city? Food for though: if humans are generally untrustworthy then why do corporations that rely on employment still exist. If people cannot be trusted these companies will fall to the ground within their first year of existence. Be aware of that and save yourself from a life of bitterness. obviously business owners are aware of this and therefore are able to establish their ground while reducing their risks. Aply this to your own life for if you don’t you are bound to get hurt either by deception or your own bitterness which sucks hapiness out of life.
Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

-You must only do only what you feel is right. Truly many lives have been ruined by following the wrong path of love which is being with somebody who you don’t love at all. Many times it is for purposes other than love : it may be: money, guilt, shame, status, random choice, etc. What this line is trying to tell us it never love for reasons other than love and happiness. You should not care what others say even your parents who you must understand to be as clueless as you were before you seek enlightenment. If you let other people run your life and prioritize stuff other than happiness then it sucks to be you. However love cannot be all happy endings. There are mechanisms at work that you must understand like it will not always work out but let not that small of a deal stop you from pursuing happiness. Never think that it does not exists for it always does (just like the grass). Think of your heartaches as opportunities to develop yourself and see what went wrong and what went right. The same as the former line you must not be a bitter person because of a certain failure and end up generalizing that people are incapable of love. That is the best limiting belief ever: do not tolerate it.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
-You must adapt to the world that you are in and the reality that is present. Know your state and what is applicable to you. What you needed ten years ago will never be the same as what you do now. Change is the essence of existence. Never let years pass without collecting value into your life, and that value is not material things but wisdom and skills which will comfort you whenever you need of it and no one can take them away from you (credentials are not counted: but the wisdom you learned from your experience does if any). Dark imaginings are the same as the Devil, take: limiting beliefs to name one of them, and fear is the Ba’al of all devils. You must be aware that these devils are meant to take value away from your life, do not listen to them. Indeed “Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness” but many fatigue and loneliness are also born of fear, remember that.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
This line is at face value. Thus they say in most teaching that man is created in God’s essence for you are a masterpiece. Never live as a shadow in your own life, YOU ARE your life and no one else! Let nothing judge you, let nothing bring you down. You only got one shot here, you are given one life, make the most out of it and live in positive self image for it all begins in self image. Truly you have seen people who seem to harvest all misfortunes and they love to talk about them and bring themselves down in mental self flagellation: That is the problem, they literally bring misfortune by means of wrong self image. The mind indeed is very powerful and can make what you focus on a possibility and if you think of yourself as a great person, surely your mind will find a way to make that happen.
Strive to be happy
Take reality of the world for what it really is and therefore expect the world to move the way it does and not the way that you want it to for you will be sure of a great disappointment. You will never know what will happen in exact manner therefore your life may not be as long as you perceive it will be even though your perception is practically not even long enough. Knowing this: live your life with peace of mind and soul. Never waste moments of your life in negative emotions: fear, hate, bitterness, guilt and most of all fear and worrying. It will never change anything and fretting about the future will only ruin the present and likewise never listen to people who want to elicit from you these emotions: he is a desperate individual who wants to take people with him on his way down in the descending spiral. It will serve you better to pity them than to waste anger on them. And never blame your creator for your misfortunes, he gave every human being more than what is due, isn’t existence enough? Surely we are wiser than the beasts why not take advantage of that. And remember that however two people argue on the form of God, not one of them will matter, for God is Who he is, be it allah, budah, whatever name you call him, the same God created us all and there is no doubt in that. Therefore settle all doubts you have, for even the great scientists and philosophers are at peace with God and have logically proved his existence without the attribute of existence. Use your gifts and count your blessings, in the end you are at sole responsibility of your own life and you are given 80% of its circumstances as ones you can do something about. Yes there may be disappointments, but life is a gift that outweighs all other things. Life is indeed a carnival of diversities and chances are the chance is high that it will work for your happiness ONLY if you allow it. And all in all life is all you have, seek no other thing but happiness, and remember : you have a choice.
